Hi there and welcome to my website!
I’m Cassie, a Kiwi expat currently living in Lyon, France.
In 2017, I moved from little New Zealand to Switzerland as I am lucky enough to have dual nationality. My initial plan was to unleash the travel addict in me, and eventually work when money runs low.
Well I started looking for work sooner than expected due to underestimating my love for travel and my excitement (and maybe the costs of travel). While looking for work, I decided to go to a French language school in Lyon to improve my French and increase my chances of employment. While in Lyon, I met my partner, and as they say, the rest is history!
I love to travel and see the world and experience different cultures, food and people. I have been to 19 countries so far (New Zealand, Australia, Tonga, Cook Islands, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Switzerland, France, Italy, Germany, Croatia, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Netherlands, USA and Canada) and hope to reach 30 in the next few years.
I decided to share my experience on this website in the hope to inspire people about seeing the world. It’s too big and beautiful to stay in one place. I also have a gluten free section to help those fellow gluten-free peeps find some places to eat when travelling.
